Not to mention that the sword is a boring way of playing the game. Furthermore, the speed with which the sword kills is agonizingly slow, even on the easier difficulties, and would be unreasonable to do on Hard. Having to do a second playthrough on Easy is not in line with the efficient platinum. The guide is written to reflect the easiest and fastest possible way to obtain the platinum. Thanks everyone! I hope you have all enjoyed the guide as much as I enjoyed making it. from the amount of left over orbs I had, it shows that this can be done on any difficulty.

This really should be added to the guide. so you really don't need to worry about breaking pots or combo meters! or even getting every chest!** **I stopped using the Sword in chapter 19, and by the end of the game I STILL had 64,544 red orbs left over. there are various points in the game that take you through areas already explored, and in many cases the red/white chests are renewed, even if you already opened them. no running away from fights! (that's why this strategy is best done on easy) keep the combo meter as high as you can (those bonus orbs also add up!) i broke all the pottery/furniture (those orbs add up!) my health meter was maxed out in chapter 17 my magic meter was maxed out in chapter 16
WOW ASCENSION PLAYTHROUGH UPGRADE
by the time i acquired the Orkos Stone, i had plenty of extra orbs to immediately upgrade it. by chapter 19, without any boosting, every item/weapon was maxed. and the sword never breaks! i didn't use the sword on flying enemies because it was too annoying but i did use it on the bosses. this is because every time you hit an enemy with the sword, you get 1 red orb, and if you hit someone with the 4th attack in the combo, (O,O,O,O) it gives you 4 orbs as a bonus instead of 1. i reached the first flashback of the game (just after the first main boss is killed) on easy mode and my blades have already been upgraded twice. Using the Sword (side arm) exclusively is the best way to get red orbs.
